Среди нововведений Vue 7 можно отметить третью версию технологии EcoSystem, обновленный движок для создания атмосферы Spectral 2, улучшенную технологию для посадки растений SolidGrowth 4 HD и расширенную библиотеку редактируемых растений (более 160 штук), полностью новый движок для просчета Radiosity в закрытых помещениях, более быстрый просчет глобального освещения, редактор водной поверхности, импорт файлов Collada, и т.д. Программа Vue 7 xStream лучше интегрирована с программами 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Maxon Cinema 4D и Newtek LightWave, пользователи смогут работать со всеми инструментами Vue, не покидая окна своего 3D-редактора. В том числе, доступны и функции EcoSystem Painting. Кроме этого, в Vue 7 xStream улучшена интеграция с mental ray.
